Letting Go

I think there comes a point in your life when we need to let go. Let go of anyone or anything that is no longer serving us. People and places come into our lives for a day, a week, a month, a year, or an extended amount of time. Sometimes, we lose these people or places due to circumstances we cannot control. But sometimes, it’s our choice to let go of these things. That’s okay.

It’s not always easy. Letting go of that person who has been your rock for 10 years. One day, you realize things have changed and you’re not vibrating on the same level. It’s hard to imagine your life without them. It’s hard to think about all the wonderful moments you’ve had. But I think it will be even harder if in 20 years, you wish you had moved on sooner.

Sometimes, it’s a job. Sometimes, we get comfortable in our situations and we are afraid of change. Change makes us feel uncomfortable. But change is inevitable. Accepting and embracing change can make life a whole lot easier.

When we let go of these things that have taught us what we needed to know or have taken us in the direction we needed to go, we can make room for even more wonderful people and experiences. When we hit rock bottom, it’s the perfect time for us to build a strong new foundation. It’s hard to build on top of a rocky or unstable foundation. This is why we experience chaos. Chaos is good. I repeat, chaos is good. This is why we experience loss. This is why we experience change. The universe is on our side. We don’t always believe it when our life is in shambles. The message is never clear immediately, but the universe eventually explains itself.

How many times have you wanted something so badly and never got it? But then a few months later, you realize that it was actually a blessing in disguise. How many times have you not wanted something, but got it anyway? But it ended up being the best experience of your life? There is a lot of work going on around us that we know nothing about. Everything that happens to us is in our best interest for our highest and greatest good.

It’s important for us to listen to our bodies and our intuition. If your job is draining your soul, let it go. If your relationship makes your cry more than makes you smile, let it go. If a friendship is more drama than anything else, let it go. If a person in your life is always negative, let it go. There is always another answer. When one door closes, another door opens. There are always new opportunities, but we have to believe in them to see them. Sometimes, those opportunities can only be presented when we make room for them by letting go.

Spend time with the people you love. Spend time with those who are happy for your happiness. Create meaningful relationships. Do things you are passionate about. Create a life you don’t need to take a vacation from. Do what you love. Find your passion. Be present in the moment. Be you. Trust the journey. Have faith. Say yes. Embrace adventures. Embrace opportunities. Travel. Explore. Be curious. Spread the love.
